Trail Overview

5647 is a dirt two-track that is part of the Manistee National Forest. The sandy trail is bookmarked by 7558 and 5036. There is a spur numbered 7555. There is also a dirt climbing at the eastern section of the trail. The trail has room to pass and mud. There is a mud area that could become a large puddle, but there is a bypass. This area would be beautiful in the fall for the colors. There are slight elevation changes, but they are not challenging. There are off-camber areas and washouts. There are some branches that can hang low, and some vegetation that can scratch. The trail was navigated on 8/1/2024.

Did part of this trail from FSR5036 to FSR7555 scouting for campsites. The trail was fairly dry with some slight washouts from the reportedly 8” of rain the region got a week earlier. No issues with my ‘24 Ford Ranger FX4. FSR7555 did have some mud, and a very large puddle that was navigable.
