Trail Overview

This is an unmaintained forest road running along the Potomac River in a loop, with access to numerous camp sites. It passes through Bonds Landing, which is an access road to the C&O Canal bike trail, as well as the Potomac River. The trail itself is a mix of small rocks and dirt, and 4WD is recommended if riding in snowy conditions.

Very fun trail had a lot more traction than I expected considering the ice. There are some pretty steep climbs, but everything was good.

Kasecamp is open, Carrol has signs saying authorized / emergency vehicles only. Can access Kasecamp from Mertens.

Weather Event
Road closed off with caution tape at Carol due to flood event, I can't imagine it made it in worse shape than it already was but they have a lot of closed and Authorized vehicle only signs up. Didn't try to get down from Mertens, though, still could be open from there.
