Trail Overview

Great trail that is well maintained and easily rideable by following the green arrows. A lot of ups/downs/left/rights with some nice elevation changes for central LA. Very fun trail for all variety of riders from young to old. Mostly 2 track for the whole trail but a very enjoyable 2 track. The trail is bi-directional so watch out for riders coming the other way.

My son and I are relatively new riders with 1 year under our belts. We traveled the northern little loop first. Leaving camp was an hour of us duck paddling through very deep sand in the NE quadrant. Beautiful area but miserable riding. The western half and cut a cross were very fun with select deep sand spots and lots of elevation changes. I have much more fun at Hickman and Camp Clayborne.

Deep sand right out of trailhead. Deterioted conditions due to muddy conditions. As a novice rider I had to give up. I will attempt the trail under drier conditions
