Trail Overview
This is one of many side trails branching off the 3 to 4 Road and the 5 to 4 Road. It's a two-way trail featuring several washout areas--some of them extremely large. One section includes a "V"-shaped washout roughly 5 feet deep;while passable, it requires extreme caution, and using a spotter is strongly recommended. Fortunately, this particular obstacle does have a solid bypass. Most side trails in the area are very narrow, making navigation difficult for extra-wide or long vehicles. This trail also has a few wet areas, but all have a solid base, so they are easy to pass through. The park's terrain consists mainly of mud and loose river rock or pebbles, which can become extremely slippery in wet conditions.
Difficulty
The difficulty rating for this trail is primarily due to one major washout that is challenging to navigate. While it is possible to cross, extreme caution is advised. Fortunately, there is a well-established bypass that allows vehicles to pass through without issue.
