Trail Overview

This is a little shortcut to get to a hidden lake. It has a couple of rocky spots with a small sandstone incline. You can tie this from New Virginia Ridge Road to bypass some of the muddy spots on that trail. At the bottom of this trail, the lake is to the right.

the trail was in the normal condition, the ruts are still pretty deep, and the climb at the top is pretty fun, just pick a smart line.

Heading west it is pretty challenging, if it's wet it's probably a 7/10. Heading east, gravity is your friend. Fun short trail.

Great trail to give your suspension a workout. We encountered a few low branches. Tall rigs with roof tents use caution.

Deep, off camber rutts. Going towards the lake was much easier than leaving the lake(downhill vs uphill). Was possible in an unlocked 4Runner on 33s and an unlocked XJ on 31s. Choose your lines carefully.

Coming from New Virginia Ridge towards the lake, you'll find this trail mostly downhill with a heavily eroded roadbed. Running the trail in reverse from the lake to New Virginia Road would present an increased challenge. I'd recommend a locked rig with minimum 35 inch tires to tackle this section if you're trying it uphill.
