Trail Overview

A nice gravel road that has a few beaver ponds, large open fields, and dense forested areas. It is a great way to gain access to a nice camping spot on Daughtery Road without having to have high clearance. It is a great road for vehicles to see some of the lower backcountry around the S-Tree area.

Difficulty

There were some washes across the road, but in general, this is a well maintained gravel road. There was lots of traffic on a Saturday. Lots of side by sides, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, and vehicles including a low clearance front wheel drive car.

We completed these trail in 2wd without any issues. Trail was wet and muddy but we never encountered mud more than a couple of inches deep. There were a few sections that were a little rough but nothing too extreme. The end of this trail intersects Daughtry to Sheltowee Trace, we went to the left which according to the sign was the easiest route. We had no troubles traversing this section in 2wd as well. Now be advised that this trail will turn into KAT Hard 3 if you miss the right turn that continues on Daughtry to Sheltowee Trace which intersects with S-Tree Tower Road. This was a beautiful track and was a great way to spend an afternoon. The whole track took us around an hour to do.
