Trail Overview

Thorn Spring is a 50-inch trail that starts from the Albert Moser Trailhead in the Cub River area. The trail climbs through the sagebrush and scrub maple ending in an alpine basis with views of the valley below and the Cache National Forest above. This is a fun-flowing trail intermingled with challenging obstacles to keep it interesting. This trail can be combined with the Worm Creek Trail to create a loop. The trail is more challenging when ridden from south to north. The trail can be challenging once the cows start grazing in the area. The combination of cow traffic and dry conditions in late summer can create dusty sections filled with loose rocks. The variety of vegetation and the views make this trail worth checking out if you are in the area.
