Nice little back road trip. I was camping in horseshoe Bend and ran this route over to visit Idaho city. Beautiful scenery cool little areas to visit and all of the locals were super nice.

50/50 split of pavement and washboarded dirt on both Harris Creek Rd and Centerville Rd. There are a few trails off of these two main roads, so it could be worth a visit to explore the others. Otherwise, not really any views worth mentioning on either of these two roads. Centerville Rd has a few residential areas and a large portion of Harris Creek Rd is under development. No pictures taken were taken.

Very non-technical drive across the mountain, can be done by any vehicle right now. Mix of paved and dirt road, some sections were a little rough with small washboards or ruts from winter but very mild overall.

Super easy and relaxing drive from Idaho City to Horseshoe bend. Got some rain but other than that no issues at all with my stock GMC Sierra. Just an FYI by the entrance to Warm Springs Rd there can apparently be a dog named Daisy running about. We stopped to help but apparently they just let her run free.

Perfectly dry, slight dusty from horseshoe bend heading east along Harris creek. As soon as becomes centerville rd it become sloppy and choppy. Any 2wd would make it. But you will need a wash after.

Fueled up at Chevron in Horseshoe Bend and hit the trail at the south end of town. Trail was wet from yesterday’s rain and snow. Nice that it eliminated dust during the drive. Great seasonal foliage at the lower elevation sections and snow at the higher elevation mid-section. The trail was slick in some places with minor washboard and potholes. We passed several occupied active campsites. Safety: Dress for cold weather and be prepared for recovery scenarios as winter conditions progress. BOLO other trail users that aren’t exercising good judgement nor courteous driving behaviors. *Most people we passed were great, but a few were borderline dangerous. // Great easy ride overall and worth making the trip out there. Stopped at Trudy’s Kitchen in Idaho City for a great lunch as we exited the trail.

Wide open two lane winding road. 50/50 dirt and paved. Went 25 to 35 mph and that’s appropriate for winding areas

Relaxing drive thru a great landscape of river and mountain. Lots of houses along the route, need to be aware of local traffic and use common safety sense. I drove it during a light rain so it didn't even make any dust, really beautiful drive.

Few inches of snow at higher elevations. Passable with most AWD/4x4 vehicles. Washboard and pot hole conditions exist. Watch for fallen rocks, fallen trees and speeding locals around blind corners.
