Starting at South Pleasant Valley Road, the route sits at an elevation of around 2,900 feet with a minimal elevation change of only 70 feet. The trail surface is highly rutted and uneven, requiring a high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle to safely navigate the deep ruts and potential washouts. During wet weather, the trail transforms with numerous water and mud holes that present a fun obstacle for offroaders. Giddy Up serves as a key connector to several other trails in the area, including a sandy whoop section situated just to the north.
