Trail Overview

This route starts out on a nice road that winds through volcanic rock outcroppings. As you head North the road deteriorates to more of a 4x4 track. Large washouts and a couple of rocky spots on the North end require good ground clearance. You descend Sand Basin through a pretty canyon that leads back to the highway.

2-5 inches of snow, some semi steep climbs on the north side, pretty muddy. rear locker highly recommended, or aggressive mud tires. had a great time, really fun lil trail.

Trail was steep in some sections but had no problems in 4 low to manage that. My stock jeep gladiator with manual transmission handled the trail with ease. There was only a couple sections where the road was really rocky and restricted on what lines to take. Trail takes you through a couple gates that you have to move. water crossing was less than 12 inches.
