Trail Overview

The Thunderstruck Mountain trail is a moderately challenging in the Beasley Knob OHV area. The trail rides along the top of Thunderstruck Mountain, and includes the Jones Knob and Blue Rock overlooks making it easily the most scenic trail in the OHV area. You will find steep, challenging terrain as well as a handful of ledges and loose rock sections along the trail. All of the trails inside Beasley Knob OHV are closed seasonally from December 31st to late March or early April weather permitting, and are closed during periods of heavy rain. Call the Blue Ridge Ranger District at 706-745-6928 to check the status of the trail. A $5 day use fee is required to ride at Beasley Knob OHV and can be purchased online via QR code at the parking areas.
