Trail Overview

Sarah's Creek is a nice ride that is close to Clayton, GA. The trail starts off with a nice forest service road with spread-out dispersed camping spots with a few pit-style bathrooms. There is no cell service in this area. Toward the end of the trail is where it gets difficult there are three obstacles that you will have to pick a line and pay close attention to tire placement. This is an out-and-back trail but well worth the time to check out. There are other trails close by that are also out and back that could easily make a day out of it.

Difficulty

There are two obstacles that are close to three feet of off camber hill climbs. Also this is an out an back so you do each one twice.

This trail is super easy probably should be a 2 or 3 rated trail as the more difficult section are no longer accessible to motor vehicles.

This trial is open and has 3 creek crossings. The section that makes this trail rated so high is closed to Motor vehicles. This trail is rated a 3 at most now, have good tires and a lift and you’ll be fine.

I ran just before major rainstorm and had no issue. Biggest obstacles for my Tahoe were bigger rocks at edges of water crossings.

Great trail to ride with plenty of camping sites. Overall the trail was in good shape. The only technical parts were two of the creek crossing towards the end of the trail. Will definitely visit again.

A few campers along the trail. Not technically difficult. A few fun water crossings. Nice day for this trail. It was the second of four I did yesterday in the area.

As described, one main obstacle on the back half of this track — past the campground. Most any vehicle should be able to climb the line by the dirt wall, the other side of the obstacle is tall! You’d need a real short wheel base and some big tires for that. We were a group of 4 and saw two others come by behind us. Turn around in the clearing at the end of the track.

Usual FS road until the last campsite; just past the first creek crossing is a three foot ledge with only one line. A stock vehicle is fine, just pick the right line. Rainy, but grip was good for the entire length. Several nice creek crossings. Stock rig is fine.
