Trail Overview

Post Oak Corner (FSR193) is a 1.5-mile out-and-back route that follows a lightly maintained packed dirt and gravel surface through heavily forested terrain. The road is a single lane with places to pass and carries an easy difficulty rating, providing a straightforward drive while retaining the narrow character of a traditional National Forest road. A quiet forest setting defines the route from beginning to end, and the lightly maintained surface contributes to its undeveloped feel. Numerous shallow mud holes and several shallow water crossings are encountered along the route, requiring drivers to remain attentive to changing surface conditions, particularly during wet weather. The road ends at its designated turnaround before retracing the same route back to the trailhead. Access is restricted to highway-legal vehicles only.
