Trail Overview
FS 287-B is a lightly traveled, grass-covered forest road through the pine woods of Osceola National Forest. The route is heavily overgrown in places, with tall grasses, wildflowers, and other vegetation covering much of the road surface and sometimes making the established tire tracks difficult to distinguish. The surrounding landscape consists of young pine stands, thicker brush, and occasional mature trees, creating a secluded and remote drive. The terrain remains very flat, and no significant technical obstacles were encountered under dry conditions. This route is more focused on quiet forest exploration than technical wheeling, although drivers should pay close attention where vegetation obscures the traveled path. Wet weather may significantly change surface conditions
Difficulty
FS 287-B is a flat, easy forest road with no significant technical obstacles under dry conditions. The primary challenge is heavy vegetation, which covers much of the road and can make the established track difficult to see in places. No deep sand, significant ruts, mud holes, rocks, ledges, steep grades, or water crossings were encountered during this drive. Drivers should pay close attention where vegetation obscures the tire tracks, and conditions may become more difficult following heavy rainfall.
