Trail Overview
Buchtown - FS 665 is a 4.6-mile out-and-back route that travels through heavily forested terrain on a packed dirt and gravel surface. The trail remains a single lane with few places to pass and is described as not maintained, although it carries an easy difficulty rating. An open area marks the end of the route. Conditions are mostly smooth overall, but several rocky sections and multiple rutted areas are encountered along the trail and may require additional attention. Highway-legal vehicles only are permitted, and seasonal access is generally available from March 15 through January 15. Travelers should remain alert for changing surface conditions and reduced passing opportunities throughout the route.
