Trail Overview

This trail takes you past a stunning rock formation in the North Georgia mountains. The path is mostly hard-packed, level gravel, making it accessible for adventurers of all skill levels. As you travel through the Chattahoochee National Forest, you'll find a few opportunities along this trail for dispersed camping around beautiful surroundings. The trail also runs near the Appalachian Trail, providing excellent hiking options. Feel free to park around 34.65314, -84.08445 to take a quick hike on this historic trail.

Only rode the eastern half, joining this road from Cooper Gap. It was raining most of the time I was on the trail, so I didn’t see anyone else. Trail in good shape with no significant ruts.

Easy gravel road. Pretty dusty today. A few campsites including a really large one set back a bit off the road that could accommodate 3 or 4 vehicles and tents @ 34.642800,-84.056200.
