Trail Overview

This is a short fun trail connected to the end of Yankee Boy Basin Trail. If you've come to the end of Yankee Boy, you owe it to yourself to do this trail as well. It is a short fun loop with a couple of nice climbs and views. From the right angle, the beautiful blue lake looks heart-shaped.

We would rate it a 3-4 as a couple of the climbs are steep, but really pretty easy.

Once you get to the hard climb going up Yankee Boy trail there is a deep hole and lots of fine loose grave, it was not possible to get up the trail. Everyone was turning around and going back down. If you fall into the hole and try to go over it you will roll down the 75 foot embankment and if you go to the right the gravel is so loose you will slide back down. It’s going to need some maintenance to make it to the top on Yankee Boy trail.

Yankee boy pass was blocked with deep snow about 0.5 mile from wrights lake. We walked up the lake and there were many large patches of deep snow
