Trail Overview

This is a graded dirt road that is accessible to all street-legal vehicles. While driving, be mindful of the soft shoulders. This road links Jarre Canyon Road to the north with South Platte River Roads within Pike National Forest. Note that camping is not permitted along this road, which predominantly goes through private lands. It can be used to connect to the Rampart Range Trails System to the east and the Platte River to the west.

Didn’t intend to take this road, but Maps decided this was the route to take. I had my 80 year old mother, my wife, and three dogs in the truck. Weather was good. Lot of locals going a lot faster than the posted 20 MPH. Road was in good condition. Steep in parts, curvy overall. My mom held onto the ohshit handle most of the time, but that was mostly because of the curves.
