Trail Overview

This road starts with very easy and mild terrain, offering a ton of camping options along the way up. The campsites are designated only, and first come, first serve. The road gradually gets more difficult as you move up it, but stays relatively easy till you reach the private property boundary of Elkton. You pass through this easement and come to the top of the road with beautiful views down the valley. As you continue here, the road continues to get rougher, continuing over to the other side of the mountains, eventually reaching Paradise Divide. This road is passable in most stock SUVs with regular clearance. There can be sharp rocks and small water crossings depending on the time of year.

As you pass Elkton, the road goes up a notch in difficulty with a steep incline into a switchback that may be difficult for some vehicles. Afterwards, the road continues to get rougher with dips, rougher rocks, and a couple of water crossings.
