Southern Wolford Reservoir

This trail descends from the overlook above to the shores of Wolford Mountain Reservoir, providing direct access to the beach and the water's edge. The drive offers a unique opportunity to camp, fish, or launch kayaks just steps from your vehicle. Use caution near the shoreline, however, as the silt can be extremely soft and may easily trap vehicles that venture too close to the water. Despite that, it's one of the best routes for reaching the reservoir.
