Trail Overview

Sawtooth is a short but challenging loop off of Bambi that is full of rock-ledge obstacles as it winds around and through several giant rock piles. There are fast sections between the challenges. Riders must be prepared for several-foot tall rock ledges that are blunter, less cramped, and some that are pretty steep. These obstacles require commitment, proper clutch control, and braking to ride safely. Comparatively, it's easier than Freefall and similar to Skull Pass, so it's still one of the more challenging trails within Hartman Rocks. It's closed from March 15 - May 15 for sage grouse conservation.

Difficulty

This is an upper intermediate difficulty as it has several rock ledge obstacles that are bigger and steeper and more blunt than the obstacles on many of the surrounding trails that are more ramped. These will require a bit more experience and skill to ride safely. Although a short trail, there are 5 or so main obstacles throughout the 1 mile route.
