Approximately 0.6 miles into the drive, adventurers will cross a standard metal cattle guard and discover a wonderfully preserved historic log cabin. This historical gem sits immediately adjacent to a pristine dispersed campsite, offering a truly unique opportunity to sleep alongside local pioneer history. As you continue farther down this picturesque corridor, the trail provides prime access to a popular and vibrant fishing area along the winding river and adjacent creek. Here, drivers will encounter a refreshing water crossing that measures approximately 8 inches in depth under normal summer conditions.
