Trail Overview

Mill Road is an easy connector providing access to many ATV and dirt bike trails. On weekends, the area can get quite busy. The road is comprised of hard-packed dirt, but after rain or snowmelt, mud pits may develop. Camping is not allowed along the middle section, but the north and south ends have ample established campsites with metal fire rings. Please check for fire bans before heading out. Cell service is available throughout the route.

The start of the road from Thorpe Gulch to about Boomer Road is more difficult than the 2 rating implies. Heavy use has made long sections of whoops and off-camber areas that could be challenging for anyone towing something or higher center of gravity vehicles. There are areas of exposed rocks as well but careful wheel placement meant I didn't need 4 wheel drive. South of Boomer Road the road is a typical 2 or 1 gravel road with campsites along it.
