Lower Gold Camp Road

Roads were in pretty good conditions low traffic

Nice day no snow/ice. No other vehicles but a few runners

Washed out more then usual but easy to do in two wheel drive

Washed out from rain

Closed until further notice due to mudslide.

Wet puddles, but easy trail. Beautiful views

This is not an offroad trail, it's a dirt road over which any vehicle can pass with no problem, including 2WD sedans (Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, etc.). There were a lot of vehicles when we went, but it provided nice views.

Short, easy drive. Started at Bear Creek. Only saw two other vehicles. Pretty view, cool tunnels. A lot of it is paved. Small bit of ice at the end.

Open during seasonal hours, gates close at 10pm, gates close when it snows and is unmaintained but there’s is 2 cool rock tunnels.

I assume the gate was closed due to the recent winter storm. According to the sign it should be open and only has an hour time difference for its seasonal hours. Up until this point (starting from north side) it was all residential/private drive ways on a paved/snow plowed road, with 3 pull off points and multiple hiking trails (Red Canyon Open Space, Bear Creek Trail, etc.) no overnight camping. Passed a few cyclists while on it as well so take it slow.
