Trail Overview

This trail offers some amazing views of Kings Canyon and the Little Dolores Canyon. Colorado National Monument is in this area, so you'll want to take your time do drive through this as well. It is a fee area. You can find some great camping along the way, and unlicensed vehicles are permitted. There is a staging area just before the trailhead.

Difficulty

Easy. Variety of conditions from graded roads to narrow, rutted and sandy roads. Steep in a few places with small rocky ledges. Do not attempt if wet.

Access Description

Get off Interstate 70 at Exit 19. Head south on C.R. 340 and enter the Colorado National Monument (fee area) on your right. Continue through the park for 11 miles then turn right towards Glade Park. Go another 5 miles and turn right on DS Road. Start of trail is another 13.7 miles on the right just after private drive.
