Trail Overview

Amazing views, camp spots, hikes. It's a very easy road, with some uphill climbs, but a 2WD can do it in good weather conditions. The road can be muddy when wet.Dirt or rocky road with gentle grades. Safe for most 4WD and high-clearance 2WD vehicles. Roads are typically two vehicles wide.

Once you enter national forest, trail begins to show signs of deterioration. Some spots are worse than other but views are amazing.

Snowy up to the overlook! Gate is closed past the overlook for the winter, but the lower part is good snow packed road and will be open until Dec 31st. Watch the corners as they are slick and use your gears going down. Good winter wheeling

Lower gate is open! Road is drivable up to the overlook, road conditions are fantastic best they have been in years, graded all the way to the overlook.
