Trail Overview
Josie's Trail is a 2-mile single track through Hartman Rocks, that is rated as black diamond, as it has several moderate rock features throughout the route. It starts on The Backdoor Road and heads south, intersecting with Gateway along the way. It starts in flat ground covered in sagebrush. You have to ride over several slab rock features, several being medium-sized rock ledges that are ramped, but a couple feet high. You ride through a couple of rock pinches, but they aren't very narrow. Then you have to go up a crack on the rock slab. It's like a ramp, but you go right up the crack. Most of the rock features are on the north end. As it continues south, it becomes more fast and flowy, through rolling hills and ravines, crossing in and out of dry washes. It's pretty gradual for the whole route and is a fun one for all the rock features.

Difficulty
This is an intermediate trail due to several rock slab obstacles and features that require some experience. There are medium-sized ledges, but they are ramped with good traction, so they are not overly difficult.
