Trail Overview
Jack Park Trail is a 2-mile-long dirt bike trail in Routt National Forest that offers a moderately challenging ride across rocky and narrow terrain. Accessed from the south via the Never Summer Trail, the route immediately features side-hilling sections with exposed, shelfy trail, including a narrow, washed-out corner where riders must dip down into a ravine crossing and climb back up over embedded rock. The trail crosses a talus field and is closely flanked by pine trees for much of its length, creating tight tree gaps and limited line options. It goes in a straight path from the east end, side-hilling along the mountainside, before curving into the mountain and climbing through several rocky climbs full of embedded and loose small cobble. Near the northern end, the trail becomes slightly wider and more flowy, though roots and rocks remain present. Terrain varies from gradual to semi-steep, with a mix of tighter curves and technical features throughout, making it a solid intermediate option in this trail system near Rand, Colorado.
