Trail Overview
This trail is a great Alternative route parallel to Argentine pass. This trail follows the creek. It is slightly more challenging than the upper road. There are several water crossings that will be deeper early in the year. Mid-July will have spots as deep as 18". This route is very scenic and beautiful. There are several great dispersed camping spots along the way up. The northern portion of the trail is Historic Waldorf Wagon Road before connecting to Paines Ridge Road.

First Half of the trail up shares the Argentine Trail, fairly mild trail and a few dozen of rigs on the way. Then when coming back after a run up McClellan MT. back down the Historic Waldrof Wagon Road 248k off the right was a great ride. Starts off rocky and has a few other mild spots. Had absolutely NO other people on the trail and only saw 1 overlanding rig parked of to the side.
