Trail Overview
Crystal Peak Trail is a short single track in the Gunnison National Forest near Crested Butte, Colorado, that is mostly a rocky ridgeline trail with epic views of the surrounding 13,000-foot mountains. It rides through a high alpine tundra landscape above treeline around 12,000 feet high. It has a lot of loose rock and has some more difficult side-hilling sections. This one is an easier intermediate trail because it doesn't have any major obstacles or ledges, but does have a bit of exposure and narrowness and a loose rocky surface. Pay attention! It connects to Brush Creek Trail on the west end, and Mount Tilton Spur on the east end. This is a great trail to ride to make a loop with Brush Creek, Taylor Divide, and Double Top Trails, among many other single-track trails in this area.
