Trail Overview

This road is rougher than Buffalo Peaks Road. High clearance vehicle is recommended. The route takes you through pine forests, aspen groves, and open meadows. There are a few remote camping areas, one by Tumble Creek at the north end of the road. Seasonal closure for wildlife habitat from January 1 to June 1st. Take Tumble Creek Road at the north end to Bear Gulch Road to make a loop.

Difficulty

There is a water crossing at north end where road ends at Tumble Creek Rd. Stream is depth in spring up to 2'. Creek is impassable in winter time due to ice.

Very easy trail. It’s single track in the NW section but other than that, wide enough to pass. Not sure why the rating is higher than 1 honestly.
