Bench Road

This trail provides an alternative route to the Crater Lake Trailhead while also offering access to several fantastic dispersed camping opportunities along the way. Travelers are treated to beautiful views of open meadows, dense forests, and the surrounding mountain landscape. The trail is very rocky throughout, with numerous sections of loose rocks that can slow progress and require careful tire placement. Conditions become significantly more difficult when wet, as traction can be limited on both the rocks and the surrounding soil. Be sure to check the weather forecast before heading out and allow extra time for the rougher sections of the route.
