Trail Overview
This ATV trail starts from the Seep Springs staging area, and starts curving through the pinyon trees with lots of very curvy turns tightly through the trees. There are a few sections with either loose rocks or bigger embedded rocks, but mostly it's a pretty smooth trail. It crosses a wash with a few more embedded rocks. After about a mile and a half, it starts to climb up to the top of the mesa with more tight turns and hairpins. It's a pretty gradual climb since you do so many hairpin turns. Near the north end, it comes around a corner to overlook the whole valley, then narrows up into a shelfy trail that traverses the side of the mesa. This section will be a bit more difficult for ATVs as it is much narrower. The final switchbacks before the north end of the trail are steeper as well, adding some difficulty.
Difficulty
The entire trail is sharp twisting turns through a high desert terrain. The turns come up fast and sudden. There are ledges up to 6" tall from embedded layers of rock, and one taller ledge (1 ft) that is ramped and easy.
