Trail Overview

Segment 2 trail is pretty easy. It is rocky in places, with good scenery. I drove most of trail in 2 wheel drive, however high clearance was needed as well as 4 wheel drive a few places. The road changes names/numbers throughout the route. Follow the main trail which will take you to the main road at the end.

Trail was in normal condition, there are lots of offshoots that are closed right now, the main loop would be a fun trail taking dry gultch road into the train and looping around through CR 116 (black mountain road) but we have some property owners who say CR116 is their private road, so there is not clean quick loop to be made, you have to go up the trail through forest access then back down instead of going through CR116 if you don’t want confrontation…

Dry Gulch Road was snow covered. Couldn’t find it off 116.
