Trail Overview

Wilson Dairy - FS 11N26C is a 1.8-mile hard-packed dirt, single-lane road. The first 0.2 miles feature a wood chip cover due to recent logging activity in the area, creating a somewhat bumpy ride without any large dips or craters. After passing through the logged section, the road narrows and enters an increasingly overgrown forest, which becomes particularly noticeable at the 0.5-mile mark and beyond. At 0.2 miles in, there is a dispersed campsite located on the left. The trail maintains a hard-packed dirt surface with embedded rocks and becomes slightly more rugged on inclines, featuring tighter squeezes and a few dips, but notably lacking deep ruts. As you progress, brush overgrowth becomes more of a concern; a mid-sized truck (like a Toyota Tacoma) can pass, but wider rigs will experience pinstriping and scraping from the foliage. High midline vegetation also poses a clearance concern to avoid undercarriage scraping. At the 0.6-mile mark, a leaning tree obstructs the road, creating a very narrow, low-clearance passage that a mid-sized truck will barely clear. The route culminates at a second dispersed campsite, offering an easy turnaround spot.

Difficulty

The trail is relatively solid hard-packed dirt with embedded rocks and no major ruts. However, it earns a 2 due to the increasingly tight clearances. A leaning tree at 0.6 miles creates a very narrow squeeze. Additionally, high midline vegetation and significant brush overgrowth will cause pinstriping on wider vehicles and require decent clearance to avoid undercarriage scraping.
