Trail Overview

Silver Meadow West - FS 11N37GW is a 1.1-mile, single-vehicle-wide trail consisting of hard-packed dirt. The route is relatively overgrown and weaves through dense trees, posing a scratching risk for wide rigs. Approximately a quarter mile in, there is a dispersed campsite. Past this point, the road becomes more rugged as it heads toward a second campsite. Sections of the trail squeeze tightly through the trees; mid-sized trucks like a Toyota Tacoma will do fine, but full-size rigs like a Toyota Tundra might find it difficult to squeeze through without issue. The route climbs uphill at the very end, terminating at a dead-end dispersed campsite. This final camp offers plenty of room to turn around and features a shaded spot to relax in the middle of the day. Campers primarily use this trail.

Difficulty

The trail is a Level 2 for the majority of its length. The primary challenges are the dense, tight trees and overgrown vegetation that pose a scratching hazard for wider vehicles. The difficulty increases slightly at the very end, where the road starts to climb uphill to the final dead-end campsite.
