Rocky Little Wilderness Border Loop

The Rocky Little Wilderness Border Loop is a short, two-mile offroad trail in the Mojave Desert near the El Paso Mountains. It offers quick highway access and dispersed camping suitable for large RVs. Near the wilderness boundary, the trail narrows, presenting sharp rocks, deep washouts, and tight sections that can cause paint or tire damage. Reaching a maximum elevation of 3,309 feet, the route provides scenic panoramic views of the desert valley. High-clearance vehicles with durable tires are recommended to handle the rocky terrain. Four-wheel drive is typically only required in sandy washes. Cell service is limited to approximately two bars of LTE.
