Resolution serves as the natural continuation of the iconic Backdoor trail. For those whose rigs aren't quite ready for the legendary Backdoor waterfall, the Backdoor Bypass offers an easier route to the trail’s true starting point. While the trail begins in a sandy wash, the real challenge lies to the far left among the rocks. This lower section is dynamic, changing significantly year-to-year based on how much sand fills the gaps. As you climb, you’ll encounter various rock "playgrounds" that allow you to customize your line and difficulty level to fit your capabilities. The trail’s real challenge is the steep, mandatory climb to the crest. Once conquered, you're rewarded with sweeping desert views. The descent back toward the desert floor features several more fun obstacles, though the most technical sections will be in your rearview. Don't miss the spur trail to the left on your way out—it leads to an elevated viewpoint overlooking the dry lakebed that is well worth the detour.
