Portola "P" - NF14M03

Portola "P" (NF14M03) is a short, 1.4-mile climb offering scenic ridge views overlooking the town of Portola. Starting as a forested two-track, the trail soon transitions into a steep, demanding ascent with loose dirt and rocky surfaces. The primary challenge is a steep, loose scramble near the summit, making high-clearance 4WD vehicles essential. This route is best suited for dry conditions, as wet weather makes the steep, loose sections extremely difficult to navigate. The trail ends just above the hillside "P" landmark, rewarding drivers with panoramic valley views.
