Porcupine Butte North - FS 41N36

This 4-mile point-to-point trail starts at FS - 42N03 and runs down a shelf road that offers a quick glimpse of distant mountains. It serves as a main north-to-south artery through this section of the Shasta National Forest, lined with medium-aged pine trees and a well-groomed surrounding forest. The trail stays very smooth, running 1.5 to 2 vehicles wide, with a surface of dirt and gravel. It gets dusty at times and has some washboards along the way.
