Trail Overview

This is a relatively short dirt road that loops off Mutau OHV Trail - FS 7N03, the main access road in the area. It passes through wooded areas to an open meadow space near the trailhead for Yellowjacket Singletrack - FS 20W24. Along the route, there are a couple of pullout areas that would be good for dispersed camping. The trail is closed annually from 11/2 to 4/30. A green/red sticker permit is required for OHV, as well as a Day Use fee payable to Los Padres National Forest. Tread Lightly and Pack-It-Out.

Difficulty

Trail surface is primarily graded dirt with some small embedded rock. There are also short stretches of small loose rock and shallow ruts. The route should be easily drivable by 2WD vehicles. In most places, the trail is wide enough for vehicles to pass each other.
