Trail Overview
This is a point-to-point single-track trail with OHV use limited to dirt bikes only. It serves as a connector trail between areas that have other trail options. The trail surface is primarily dirt with some short stretches of rocky ledges or embedded larger rocks. There are also sections with ruts up to 1-2 feet deep, whoops up to 1 feet high, and tight vegetation. One short stretch runs across Triston Ridge, which has drop-off slopes on both sides. The trail is closed annually from 11/2 - 4/30. A Green Sticker permit is required for dirt bikes. There is weak or no cellular phone service on most of the trail. Tread Lightly and Pack-It-Out.
Difficulty
The trail surface primarily consists of packed dirt. There are short steep grades with ruts up to 1-2 feet deep and larger rocks. Flat sections will often have a series of closely spaced whoops up to 1 foot high. It crosses a ridge with drop-off slopes on both sides and a rocky creek several times, which will likely be dry during the summer/fall months. Vegetation (mostly scrub brush) can occasionally be tight on both sides of the trail.
