Trail Overview

This easy route begins just east of Lake Hughes in remote northern Los Angeles County, California, and connects the area to the Tule Divide trail. The drive is a mostly uneventful climb with pretty views of the Leona and Antelope Valleys. You may encounter ruts and loose rocks, but neither are challenging enough to require four-wheel drive.

Fun route, can connect to other trails for longer ride, some loose rocks & sand in sections. Can get dusty. Overall all fun trails. Not to steep Great practice for novice riders

The trail wasn’t that bad but there were few parts where recent heavy rain had caused mud and uneven trail with lots of bumps. There is one area where the road caved out and you have to stick to your right and drive in a steep angle to avoid your car falling over the edge. It was pretty intense…for like 30 seconds. There were lots of water and mud crossings. Then at the end….you’re treated with a beautiful lake scenery.
