Trail Overview
This sandy trail is one and a half vehicles wide and relatively smooth, making for easy navigation. The route goes by the Holmes Camp Area, which has lots of dispersed open camping and some pergola-covered camp spots with tables providing shaded areas. There are public restrooms at the camp area for visitor convenience. You'll encounter some washboards, ruts, and whoops scattered along the way that add character but don't create major obstacles. The trail gains you access to some off road hills where you can explore more challenging terrain beyond the main route.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail with straightforward navigation on the sandy surface. The relatively smooth conditions make driving simple, and the washboards, ruts, and whoops are minor features that add some bouncing. The sandy surface may benefit from airing down, but doesn't require advanced skills. The access to off road hills provides optional challenges for those seeking them.
