Trail Overview

This scenic trail winds through a juniper pine forest with scattered brush and expansive views across rolling hills. The route follows a sandy track that is mostly hard-packed, making for a relatively smooth ride. You’ll encounter the occasional embedded boulder, but overall, the drive is steady and pleasant. The trail is about one and a half vehicles wide, offering some passing opportunities. Along the way, you’ll pass large boulder formations and open landscapes where the low brush allows for clear vistas in nearly every direction. The route begins at Owens Gorge Road and connects to the Bishop Tuff Scenic Loop near Highway 395, making it a great scenic alternative or connector trail.
