Trail Overview

Starting just west of the Crestview Caltrans maintenance station on Highway 395 and ending at Dead Man Creek Road, this sandy and pumice trail is very dusty and heavily rutted due to frequent side-by-side traffic. The trail passes the busy Glass Creek Campground—watch your speed. Along the way, you’ll encounter off-camber sections, whoops, washboards, and tree ruts. It is marked by an orange triangle without a letter and runs near the Crestview Forest Service fire station. Scenic views include Obsidian Dome and Glass Creek Dome.
