Trail Overview

This winding, fine-dirt trail descends toward Tunnel Creek with a steady loss in elevation. Near the beginning, expect small rock gardens with 1–2 inch rocks and minor ruts reaching only 2–3 inches deep. The loose dirt can become considerably more difficult to drive on when wet. Around 3.1 miles, a large, level campsite on the left accommodates up to six vehicles and provides excellent views of the surrounding mountains. The route continues downhill through scenic terrain before connecting with Sand Bar Road.
