Trail Overview
This 1.25-mile trail drops 150 feet and climbs 53 feet as it cuts through a valley filled with brush and some sparse pine trees. The surface is sand and pumice, and the trail is 1.5 vehicles wide. As you continue, the trail drops deeper into the valley and the meadow opens up, revealing interesting rock formations and some tall hills. Part of the Eastern Sierra Mountains can be seen from this vantage point. Just under a mile in, the trail crosses a small creek that has been lined with small rocks. The trail is very dusty and is a very popular side-by-side route.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail with straightforward navigation. The creek crossing is enhanced with rocks and poses a little challenge for low-clearance vehicles. The sand and pumice surface is typical for the area and manageable. The main consideration is the dust, especially if you're following other vehicles on this popular route.
