Trail Overview

This is an awesome out and back trail with amazing cliff views, creek crossings, beautiful trees and several great camping spots. Plenty of shorter trails splinter off the main roads, offering endless adventure. This route will also take you past the Bennett Juniper, known as the oldest Juniper tree in the world. Per Forestry, open 04/15 - 12/15

Did the trail up to Bennett Juniper after a night of dispersed camping in the car. Coming from west, the closest EV charger was a Tesla in Sonora, though I believe I saw some wrapped and getting ready to be opened about 26 minutes drive out from trail start when coming through - charging up my R1S (370mi max pack) to 80% at Sonora was far more than enough though. Trails weren’t hard, some spots with very nice views on the way up, two shallow water crossings. Bennett Juniper is worth stopping by. Saw some people during the week in the morning, so expect it might get crowded on weekends.

Road was in good shape. There was even a Subaru and full-size pickup at Bennett Juniper near the end.
