Trail Overview

This over 2-mile trail drops 385 feet as it descends from Owens River Road. The trail is 1.5 to 2 vehicles wide and lined with pine trees and some brush. You'll notice evidence of a previous controlled burn along the way. The surface features ruts up to 12 inches deep. Views of Bald Mountain and the Glass Mountains are visible throughout. If you're a rockhound, there are obsidian deposits scattered along the trail. There are a few spots to dispersed camp along the way.

Difficulty

This is an easy trail with straightforward navigation. The main obstacles are ruts up to 12 inches deep, which are manageable for most high-clearance vehicles. The wider trail width makes passing easier and reduces the risk of pinstriping.
